Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 2025
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Snippit (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Snippit is an online platform that lets you write, run, and share JavaScript code snippets in the browser. The Service runs code in an isolated sandbox. No account is required to create or view snippets; a creator identifier may be stored in your browser to associate snippets with you for editing and management.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe intellectual property or other rights of others
- Distribute malware, abuse other users, or attempt to compromise the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose
We may remove content or suspend access that we reasonably believe violates these terms or is harmful.
4. Your content
Snippets you create are stored on our systems. By saving a snippet, you grant us a license to store, display, and serve it in connection with the Service (e.g. shared links, embeds). You are responsible for the code and any data you submit. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information in snippets; they are intended to be shared and may be viewed by anyone with the link.
5. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or security. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will indicate the last updated date at the top of this page.
7. Contact
For questions about these terms, you may contact us via the links provided on the Snippit website (e.g. footer or about page).
